Search efforts for Narin continue on the 6th day: Slipper detail

Search efforts for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, are continuing on their 6th day. A large-scale search mobilization was launched to find Narin, who disappeared while returning from a Quran course on the afternoon of August 21.

Following Narin's disappearance, her family and fellow villagers conducted their own search efforts but, after failing to achieve results, reported the situation to the gendarmerie.

Upon the report, gendarmerie and various search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region. Many institutions participated in the efforts, including the Bağlar District Gendarmerie Command, the Bağlar Public Order Commando Company Command, Gendarmerie Special Operations teams, Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT), the Intelligence Branch Directorate, the Dog Tracking Team, the Underwater Search and Rescue Team, and AFAD.

In the search efforts so far, 12,550 vehicles have been checked, more than 11,000 decares of land have been scanned with 7 tracking dogs, and statements have been taken from 130 people. Additionally, the final images of Narin before she disappeared were captured on security cameras.

In these images, Narin is seen walking with four friends around 15.15 on August 21, then separating from them and heading toward her home using the hill path.

SLIPPER DETAIL

During the searches, a child's slipper was found on the side of the road, but it remains unclear whether this slipper belongs to Narin.

Furthermore, bloodstains found at a point near the path where Narin disappeared were examined, but it was determined that these stains were the result of another child's nosebleed.

It was stated that divers are participating in the efforts to find Narin in irrigation canals, searches are continuing in corn and cotton fields, and vehicles entering and exiting the neighborhood are being checked. Search efforts are still ongoing, and all resources are being mobilized to find the little girl.
