Specialist sergeant kills his wife, critically injures his brother-in-law

In the Kocavezir Neighborhood of Adana's Seyhan district, a woman was killed and three people were injured around noon.

The details of the murder have emerged. It was learned that the attack was committed due to jealousy.

Hatice Ç. (29), who worked as a teacher in Mardin, her husband Gökhan Ç. (27), who also served as a specialist sergeant in Mardin, and Murat Akdöker, the husband of Hatice Ç.'s sister, were traveling by vehicle to Güney Kuşak Boulevard when an argument broke out between them.

As the argument turned into a fight, Gökhan Ç. drew his weapon. Seeing the gun, Hatice Ç. fled, while Murat Akdöker was shot by his brother-in-law.

Gökhan Ç. also fired at his wife as she ran away; two passersby were also struck.

Witnesses to the incident notified the police. During this time, Gökhan Ç. also shot his wife.

A shootout broke out between the teams that arrived at the scene shortly after and Gökhan Ç. The suspect was shot and fled while wounded.

Meanwhile, the young woman lost her life, and the other injured individuals were taken to the hospital.

During the clash, one bullet also struck a police vehicle.

The police are searching for the suspect everywhere.

It was also learned that the young woman had previously filed a complaint against Gökhan Ç. and obtained a restraining order.
