Statement from US Ambassador to Ankara Barrack on Erdoğan meeting: Our alliance has never been stronger
US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack made an 'alliance' statement following his meeting with President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Beştepe.
He stated that the alliance between Turkey and the US has "never been stronger." Barrack noted that regional security, economic cooperation, and the partnership between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
In a post on his social media account, Barrack expressed that he was honored to meet with President Erdoğan. Barrack used the following expressions in his statement:
"I was honored to meet with President Erdoğan at Beştepe today.
As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary this year and look toward the next century of diplomatic relations between Turkey and the US, I can say this: This alliance has never been stronger.
Turkey and the US have deep ties as NATO allies, economic partners, and friends who have supported each other throughout a shared history spanning decades.
Today's meeting reaffirmed our shared commitment to regional security, economic cooperation, and the enduring partnership between our two countries."
