Storm and heavy rain warning for Istanbul from AKOM: Temperatures to drop by 8-10 degrees

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has published its weekly weather forecast report for the city. According to the report, air temperatures, which approached summer levels by reaching 28 degrees over the weekend, will decrease significantly starting Tuesday.

AKOM reported that with the strengthening of winds from northern directions, temperatures are expected to drop by 8-10 degrees, falling below seasonal norms. Strong storms and heavy rain showers are expected to be effective in the city.

According to the forecast, thunderstorms are expected in Istanbul on Tuesday, October 13. On Wednesday, October 14, a storm and heavy rain are expected.

For the remainder of the week, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy on Thursday, October 15, and partly cloudy with local rain on Friday, October 16. On Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, very cloudy and light rainy weather is expected.
