In the 'Taksim Meydanı' program with Gürkan Hacır, Barış Yarkadaş shared inside information stating that during a discussion on presidential candidates at a CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, following his proposal of three "center-forward" candidates for the presidency, said, "Why shouldn't one of these center-forwards be a woman, for example, like Ms. Ayşe (Ünlüce)?"

In the inside information he provided, Yarkadaş stated, "In previous weeks, during a conversation at the CHP MYK, the presidential candidates and Özgür Özel's descriptions using football metaphors were discussed.

Özel is turning this forward issue into a center-forward one. He is talking about 3 center-forwards for the presidential candidacy.

Then he said, 'Why shouldn't one of these center-forwards be a woman, for example, like Ms. Ayşe.'"

WHO IS AYŞE ÜNLÜCE?

Born in Eskişehir in 1970, Ayşe Ünlüce graduated from the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law.

Having served as a judge within the Ministry of Justice for a time, Ünlüce was appointed as the 1st Legal Counsel to the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality in 2016 and had been serving as Secretary General since 2018.

A mother of two, Ayşe Ünlüce was also the wife of the late Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor, Attorney Aydın Ünlüce, who passed away last year.

Ünlüce became the Mayor of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality in the 2024 Local Elections after running as a candidate for the CHP and receiving 51.03 percent of the vote.
