Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who is currently imprisoned at Sincan Prison and has been suspended from his duties, expressed his support for CHP Chairman Özgür Özel following the 'absolute nullity' decision.
Addressing the 'purification' call made by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in a statement one day before the 'absolute nullity' decision was issued, Özcan said, "Our noble nation will decide who will be purged from where."

Sharing a photo of himself with Özgür Özel on his X account, Özcan stated, "At this point, there is no other solution than to put the ballot box in front of the nation. Our noble nation will decide who will be PURGED from where."
