Terrorist on the red list neutralized

MİT recently determined that the terrorist organization had appointed high-level organization managers to each of the so-called provincial structures established in northern Iraq and launched an operation targeting these individuals. In this context, the terrorist Serkan Nazlıer, who was also a planner of attacks in metropolitan areas, was on MİT's priority target list.

The location of the terrorist Serkan Nazlıer was identified as a result of precise operations conducted in the rural areas of Hakurk, Iraq. The PKK/KCK member Nazlıer was tracked step-by-step, and the most suitable moment was awaited to carry out the operation.

MİT neutralized Serkan Nazlıer, codenamed Sefkan Amed, who was primarily responsible for all terrorist activities in the so-called Gever (Hakkari) Province established in 2019, in a pinpoint operation.

WHO IS SERKAN NAZLIER?

He joined the rural cadres of the PKK/KCK in 2005. In 2015, he operated as the primary person responsible for a sabotage action carried out during the passage of security forces in the Hakkâri/Yüksekova-Doski Valley. In 2019, he was among the planners and directors of a rocket-propelled grenade attack carried out against a Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) military base in the so-called Gever Province region in Iraq.
