The 'Linet' feud in the AKP continues: Pro-government columnist makes a controversial 'post-Erdoğan' claim!
The controversy surrounding the concert of artist Linet, which had to be canceled due to protests, has sparked major debates within the AKP. İsmail Kılıçarslan, a columnist for the pro-government newspaper Yeni Şafak, harshly criticized former AKP Deputy Group Chairman Naci Bostancı for reacting to the protesters. Claiming that a 'Plan B' is being prepared within the AKP, Kılıçarslan said, "Your preparations for a post-Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Turkey do not escape our notice."
The concert that Israeli-born artist Linet was set to perform in Maslak was canceled due to protests. Sharing a video from backstage, Linet addressed AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stating that her safety was at risk.
Unable to take the stage, Linet left through the venue's back door. Prof. Dr. Naci Bostancı, Rector of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University and former AKP Deputy Group Chairman, reacted to the protests against Linet.
Bostancı's remarks created a stir within the ruling camp. Oktay Saral, Chief Advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that he should be dismissed and an investigation should be launched.
THE LINET FEUD GROWS IN THE AKP
Another reaction to Bostancı came from İsmail Kılıçarslan, a columnist for the pro-government newspaper Yeni Şafak.
In his column today (May 20, 2025), where he criticized Bostancı, Kılıçarslan claimed that there are those within the AKP preparing for the post-Erdoğan era.

"Let me say at the beginning what I would say at the end. We, the AK Party supporters, do not like many of you. We love Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we like him, we value the struggle he wages, and we support that struggle.
We also know that the collective we could call 'AKP-ists'—behind closed doors, in environments where you feel comfortable—judge the people who have given their hearts to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the masses who love him wholeheartedly with sentences starting with 'they are also a bit...' and finish these conversations with wretched ideas like 'actually, if it weren't for this public, the AK Party would be a wonderful party, but it's because of these underdeveloped people.'
Since the 'Reis' (Chief) brought you to those positions and offices, we remain silent, saying 'he must know something.' I repeat: Actually, we do not like many of you at all. Moreover, your preparations for a post-Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Turkey do not escape our notice. You are constantly making a Plan B. Let me give you some magnificent news: We do not have a Plan B. Even if we had a Plan B, you are not in those plans. You will not be. May God not show us the pain of his absence, may He not take him from us, but if we reach the post-Recep Tayyip Erdoğan era, we will continue our path not with complex-ridden, pathetic people like you, but with names who trust themselves, trust their nation, and trust their voters, just like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."
