A recent trend dubbed "revenge resignation" reveals that employees are not just quitting their jobs, but are turning the process into a demonstration against their employers. Employees are sharing their resignation experiences on social media, voicing their dissatisfaction with issues such as workload and management style.

Gen Z is emerging as the pioneer of this new trend. According to a Forbes report, this younger generation chooses to use their resignation as a tool for protest rather than staying silent when mistreated. Gen Z refuses to remain in workplaces where they do not feel respected and does not hesitate to express this openly.

Psychologist Edel Holliday-Quinn notes that such resignations may increase as the job market loosens. Employees who are unhappy with their jobs may make their voices heard more loudly this year. This trend could signal a challenging period ahead for employers.

According to a Gallup survey, only 31% of American employees feel motivated at work. This rate is at its lowest level in the last decade. Notably, only 40% of employees under the age of 35 state that they understand what is expected of them at work. This is considered a surprising development, given that young employees are generally thought to be more enthusiastic.
