THY and Pegasus raise airfare prices: New rates announced
THY and Pegasus have increased the price ceiling for domestic flights as of August 1. The hike in the price ceiling will also be reflected in air ticket prices.
The price ceiling for domestic flight tickets, which was implemented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) in 2013, has been increased for the first time since that date.
According to a report by Patronlar Dünyası, the existing price ceiling of 3,253 Turkish Lira has been raised to 4,003 Turkish Lira as of August 1.
THY and Pegasus Airlines have integrated the new price ceilings into their flight schedules.
Accordingly, 80 percent of the tickets sold on a flight will be offered to citizens at 2,503 TL, while the remaining 20 percent will be priced at 4,003 TL.
