TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan reacted to Hulusi Akar's words in a post on his X account. Stating that the purpose of education is to raise people who defend the good, the beautiful, and the just, and who discuss, produce, and question, Okuyan emphasized in his post that "The winner of the difficult struggle between the dark love of the enemies of science and humanity's desire and will to reach enlightenment is clear."

In a country rife with poverty, injustice, and hostility toward women and children, if the guardians of this order have started saying "it is enough to be afraid, you don't need to know," it means their situation is quite desperate. Of course, the only purpose of education is not to acquire knowledge.

Raising people who defend the good, the beautiful, and the just, and who discuss, produce, and question, is a complex social task. But the concern of Akar and his associates is that the source of evils, injustices, and inequalities should not be learned. That is why they want to implement a continuous blackout.
