TOKİ to sell 558 plots of land in 48 provinces: Includes natural protected area!

The Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, has announced that a total of 558 plots of land in 48 provinces are being put up for sale.

Of the 28 plots offered for sale in İzmir, 24 are located in Çeşme, while the others are in Bayraklı, Bornova, Dikili, and Foça.

It was stated that the total sale price of the plots in question is 646 million 961 thousand TL.

According to a report in BirGün, these plots include areas designated for housing, market areas, manufacturing facilities, municipal service areas, parking lots, vocational and technical education areas, tourism areas, daily tourism areas, and recreation areas. It was also reported that unplanned areas have been included in the scope of the sale.

LAND WITH PROTECTED AREA STATUS PUT UP FOR SALE

The most notable among the plots TOKİ has put up for sale in İzmir is a 16 thousand 333 square meter parcel located in the Dalyan neighborhood of Çeşme, which can be considered beachfront. It was announced that the land, registered as block 862, parcel 8, has been put up for sale with a price of 204 million 180 thousand TL.

It was stated that this area is located within a 3rd-degree natural protected area (SİT) and has the status of an olive grove, while it is designated as a tourism and recreation area in the zoning plans.

The plots put up for sale in Çeşme are expected to provide TOKİ with a total revenue of 386 million 351 thousand TL.

1.3 BILLION TL REVENUE TARGET

It was noted that the total value of the 95 plots offered for sale by TOKİ across the Aegean Region is 1 billion 346 million 998 thousand TL.

The transfer of many public areas to the private sector, along with the sales in and around İzmir, is drawing criticism.

TOKİ's land sale tender will be held on February 25.
