Turkish Airlines to hire a total of 5,000 people in 3 different positions: Those born after that date can apply!
Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager for Human Resources Abdulkerim Çay announced that they plan to hire approximately 5,000 people for 2024. Çay stated, "We aim to reach 150,000 employees at the end of 10 years."
Turkish Airlines has announced that it will be hiring for many positions as flight and ground staff through its published ‘’Take-Off 101’’, ‘’Take-Off Jr.’’ and ‘’Take-Off Cadet’’ job postings.
Speaking about recruitment policies and processes at the ‘’Career Summit’’ event organized by Istanbul Technical University, Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager for Human Resources Abdulkerim Çay said, ‘’In line with our partnership's growth strategies, we strive to increase our number of employees every year; we are trying to contribute to the Turkish economy with our employment-boosting policies. In 2023, we added a total of 5,134 employees to our structure, consisting of flight and ground crews. This year, just as in 2023, we aim to welcome approximately 5,000 employees into our family; we aim to reach 150,000 employees at the end of 10 years from our current number of approximately 84,000, including our subsidiaries,” he said.
With its Take-Off 101 (Part-Time Student) program, Turkish Airlines offers 3rd and 4th-year undergraduate students the opportunity to experience working life while continuing their education.
Candidates who successfully complete the evaluation processes are offered the opportunity to work within Turkish Airlines for a total of 12 months over two terms. The posting, which appeals to young citizens of the Republic of Turkey born on or after January 1, 1998, is open to students currently in their 3rd and 4th years of study.
The posting, which is open to young citizens of the Republic of Turkey born on or after January 1, 1997, is open to final-year undergraduate students and graduates.
It is stated that young people who have a good command of English, value their communication and development, can produce new and applicable ideas, and are prone to teamwork will be preferred for the positions. Applications for both postings can be made until March 10, 2024.
With the Take-Off Cadet (Second Pilot Candidate to be Trained) program, all undergraduate graduates, regardless of their department, and those born between 01.01.1994 and 31.12.2003 can apply to join the Turkish Airlines family. Candidates who are successful in the recruitment process will receive training for 2 years. During the training, candidates will be able to benefit from rights such as a salary of 2 gross minimum wages, accommodation, rent assistance, a meal card, insurance, and discounted tickets. Applications for this posting can be made until April 30, 2024.
