Disaster averted: Battery of phone left charging explodes
A mother and her 4 children were affected by smoke in a fire caused by the explosion of a phone battery left charging in a house in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır.
In the incident that occurred on the top floor of the 5-story Çiğdem Apartment building on 186th Street in the Muradiye neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, mother Ruken K. (30) and her children Umut K. (11), Buse K. (9), Onur K. (7), and Hasret K. (3), who were asleep after plugging the phone in to charge, woke up to a fire caused by the battery explosion.
DISASTER AVERTED
Upon notification of the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After providing oxygen support to the mother and children affected by the smoke at the scene, medical teams transported them to Selahattin Eyyubi State Hospital and Diyarbakır Children's Hospital.
It was learned that the health condition of the injured is good, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
