According to the information obtained, a fire broke out at around 13:00 in a 5-story restaurant located next to the Spice Bazaar on Kalçin Street in the Rüstempaşa neighborhood of Fatih, Eminönü. The fire, which is alleged to have started in the chimney, grew rapidly. While the fire caused panic, customers inside at the time rushed out in a state of alarm. Fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While fire crews began efforts to extinguish the fire, police teams took security measures.

Great effort was made to prevent the flames from spreading to the adjacent building. The flames were extinguished through intervention from both inside and outside, and the fire was brought under control in a short time.

Kadir Dilekçi, who works at the cafeteria next door, said, "The fire started from the ventilation on the side. Smoke began to emerge. We threw ourselves outside. The cat is the company's cat, we saved it too. We couldn't get one cat out."

The Spice Bazaar is on our right. It broke out in the business next to the Spice Bazaar. Fire crews intervened within about 5 minutes. As you can see, it is currently under control. Cooling efforts are continuing. There are 75 personnel and around 20 fire crews here right now. There are no casualties or injured. The fire department will also report on the cause of the fire following the cooling efforts. Get well soon. The building is wooden and a restaurant. It spread a bit faster. A quick intervention was made. The fire was extinguished without spreading anywhere else. There is no one trapped or being searched for. Thank you."

The statement included the following: "On Thursday at around 12:50, a fire broke out in a 5-story building located on Kalçin Street in the Rüstempaşa neighborhood of Fatih, Eminönü. The fire has been brought under control by the fire crews who arrived at the scene, and the crews' smoke evacuation efforts are continuing. According to initial findings, there are no deaths or injuries in the fire, which is thought to have started in the kitchen section of the workplace used as a restaurant. The exact cause of the fire will be determined after technical examinations."
