The Ministry of Health shared footage on its social media accounts showing healthcare workers at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital refusing to leave the side of babies in incubators during the earthquake. In this post, the healthcare personnel's efforts to protect the babies were met with praise.
The Ministry's statement included the following: "We are grateful to our colleagues who did not leave the side of the babies receiving treatment for even a moment during the earthquake in Istanbul. We are glad you are here," the statement read. This self-sacrificing attitude of the healthcare workers was also met with appreciation by social media users.
