Yeni Akit Editor-in-Chief Murat Alan insults TSK commanders
As footage of tables being moved at the Teknofest Blue Homeland opening in Istanbul sparks debate, scandalous remarks made by Yeni Akit Editor-in-Chief Murat Alan regarding TSK commanders have resurfaced.
Footage showing Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and accompanying admirals carrying tables at the Teknofest Blue Homeland opening ceremony held in Istanbul had sparked controversy.

These images, recorded before the speech by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, caused a wide stir on social media, with the Minister of National Defense and the admirals becoming the target of criticism.
Following the footage in question, scandalous statements previously made by Murat Alan, the Editor-in-Chief of the Yeni Akit newspaper—known for its reactionary editorial policy and frequent targeting of Republican values and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—have resurfaced.
Moments from a television program Alan attended, in which he directed severe insults at high-ranking commanders of the Turkish Armed Forces, have begun circulating on social media again.
Speaking on Akit TV, Alan faced backlash for his remarks, in which he said, "We are making them pay for everything. Those generals of yours with cutlery-set epaulets who don't fall into line, they are all lining up behind Erdoğan like donkeys."
