Who is Union of Turkish Bar Associations President Erinç Sağkan?

Following the Military Academy graduation ceremony attended by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the lieutenants who took a sword oath and chanted the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" were referred for disciplinary action. The disciplinary file of the lieutenants will be reviewed on January 16.

WHO IS ERİNÇ SAĞKAN, HOW OLD IS HE, AND WHERE IS HE FROM?

Erinç Sağkan was born in 1978 and is originally from the Şiran district of Gümüşhane. He completed his primary education at Ankara Bahçelievler Deneme High School, then enrolled in the Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1995 and graduated in 1999. At the beginning of his professional career, he registered with the Criminal Procedure Code (CMK) Center to serve as a mandatory defense counsel and became a member of the Bar Association's CMK Board during the same period. Having held various positions within the Ankara Bar Association, Sağkan served as a member of the Board of Directors between 2010-2012, as Secretary-General between 2014-2016, and as Vice President starting in 2016.
