Yeni Malatyaspor submits request to withdraw from the league to TFF
Yeni Malatyaspor, which has been going through difficult times both financially and sportingly in the Trendyol 1st League, has formalized its previously stated request to withdraw from the league.
Yeni Malatyaspor, a Trendyol 1st League team that has been experiencing difficult economic times following the February 6 earthquake, has officially submitted its request to withdraw from the league to the Turkish Football Federation, on the condition that its rights remain reserved and in accordance with the joint decision of the 1st League Clubs Association.
SUBMITTED TO THE TFF
In a statement made by the club, it was stated, "Our request to withdraw from the league, on the condition that our rights remain reserved, has been submitted to the TFF with the joint decision of the 1st League Football Clubs Association. We would like to thank all our presidents who supported our justified request, especially the President of the Clubs Association, Mr. Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu." Following this development, all eyes have turned to TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu.
AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TABLE
Unable to recover after the February 6 earthquake, Yeni Malatyaspor has not been able to win any of the matches it has played in the Trendyol 1st League this season. Having lost all 18 of its matches, the Malatya team is currently at the bottom of the league with -21 points following a 21-point deduction penalty imposed by FIFA.
