Modanisa Co-Founder and CEO Sami Güzel stated in a program he attended that they are planning to go public. Güzel also expressed that they are growing rapidly in the market and that there is demand.
Modanisa Co-Founder and CEO Sami Güzel participated in the Investment Vision program. During the program, Güzel discussed the brand's future plans.
"WE ARE AN EXPORT COMPANY"
Güzel described how they targeted a market with limited variety and encountered strong demand with the following words:
"Immediately after we were founded, we began offering our customers 200-300 new products every day in both ready-to-wear clothing and scarves/shawls. We focused on a market with little variety and were met with great interest. We grew rapidly due to the high Turkish population in Germany. We are an export company that sells to 140 countries across 5 continents,” he said.
TURKEY IN FAST PRODUCTION
Güzel stated that purchasing power and e-commerce habits in the US are very high.
Expressing that logistics and payment systems in e-exports have become very advanced, Güzel said, “You can become an exporter on the same day. We actually have an advantage like Turkey. We can produce very quickly with small workshops. We are also geographically very advantageous; we can ship to both the Middle East market and the European market in the same amount of time. My advice to entrepreneurs is to start immediately and not give up,” he stated.
Güzel added, “Our strategy is evolving with investments. We opened 5 new stores this year. We aim to go public within a few years.”
