Following natural gas price hikes limited to industrial and production facilities, a high-rate price increase for residential subscribers is now on the agenda.
While a 25 percent hike was applied to electricity tariffs on April 5, the price increases in natural gas, ranging between 20 and 24.2 percent, were implemented to cover only industrial subscribers and electricity production facilities.
Energy management is also planning a significant increase in natural gas prices for residential subscribers.
According to the report in Sözcü, industry representatives evaluated the potential increase in natural gas sales prices for residences, stating, “A double-digit hike in natural gas, close to the electricity hike, would not be a surprise.”
