Agricultural Input Price Index has continued its uninterrupted rise for 48 months since September 2019

Agricultural Input Price Index has continued its uninterrupted rise for 48 months since September 2019

The Agricultural Input Price Index (Tarım-GFE) increased by 2.63 percent on a monthly basis and 40.97 percent on an annual basis in September.

In the index, there was an increase of 33.13 percent compared to December of the previous year and 56.87 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.

Thus, the Agricultural Input Price Index has continued its uninterrupted rise for 48 months since September 2019.

In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 2.36 percent in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 4.31 percent in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment. Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 35.80 percent in the index for goods and services used in agriculture, and an increase of 81.65 percent in the index for goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.

According to the monthly Agricultural Input Price Index, 6 subgroups showed a lower change and 5 subgroups showed a higher change.

The subgroups with the lowest monthly increases were animal feed with 0.91 percent and agricultural chemicals with 1.24 percent, respectively. Conversely, the subgroups with the highest monthly increases were seeds and planting materials with 7.75 percent and materials with 5.21 percent, respectively.

According to the annual Agricultural Input Price Index, 4 subgroups showed a lower change and 7 subgroups showed a higher change.

The subgroups with the lowest annual increases compared to the same month of the previous year were fertilizers and soil improvers with 14.35 percent and animal feed with 26.44 percent. The subgroups with the highest annual increases were veterinary expenses with 106.79 percent and materials with 91.34 percent, respectively.
