February natural gas tariff announced: Will there be a price hike?
Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has announced that there will be no changes to the sales tariffs for natural gas used by residential and industrial subscribers, as well as for electricity generation, as of February.
According to the tariff table published on the website of the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ), the tariffs for residential and industrial subscribers, as well as the tariff for electricity generation, will remain unchanged for February.
Accordingly, the sales price that BOTAŞ will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in February has been announced as 4,080 Turkish Lira per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
The tariff for industrial subscribers has been set at 8,549 Turkish Lira per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas for tier 1, and 11,374 Turkish Lira for tier 2.
In the tariff for electricity generation, the price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas was announced as 12,000 Turkish Lira.
Natural gas price tariffs are calculated on a monthly basis.
In the announcement on the institution's website, it was stated, "Based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI) prices, our country still applies the lowest natural gas prices for households among European countries, after Ukraine."
