As the end of the year approaches, initial calculations for the 2027 minimum wage, which is on the agenda of millions of employees, have begun based on inflation forecasts. The current net minimum wage for 2026 is applied as 28 thousand 75 liras and 50 kuruş.
If the Central Bank's year-end inflation forecast of a 28 percent increase is directly reflected in the wage, the net minimum wage reaches the level of 35 thousand 936 liras.
When the 29.61 percent rate in the survey reflecting market expectations is taken as a basis, the calculated net minimum wage rises to 36 thousand 389 liras. These two scenarios highlight a range of 35 thousand 500 liras to 36 thousand 500 liras for the new wage.
In the regulation made at the beginning of 2026, a 27 percent increase was applied to the minimum wage, and no mid-year adjustment was made in July. The final decision regarding 2027 is expected to be clarified following official negotiations to be conducted towards the end of the year.
