Up to 40 percent discount for families in intercity travel

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they have paved the way for special discounts for families on intercity bus journeys as part of the 2025 Year of the Family.

Uraloğlu said, “According to the Road Transport Regulation, bus companies providing intercity passenger transport with tickets can offer discounts of up to 30 percent on the fare tariffs they report to our ministry. With the new regulation, bus companies will be able to offer discounts of up to 40 percent on ticket prices for families.”

FAMILY DISCOUNT IN TRANSPORTATION

With the new regulation, when at least 2 and at most 4 people want to travel with tickets on the same bus and route, they will be able to benefit from the discount if they document that they are a family.

To benefit from the discount, it will be sufficient for passengers to share the same surname or prove that they are a family with a document in accordance with the relevant legislation.
