Mehmet Şimşek: Financial risks have decreased thanks to the new program
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that financial risks have decreased and normalization in the markets continues thanks to the new economic program being implemented.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced in a post on his social media account that the swap stock of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) with domestic banks has fallen to 144 million dollars.
In the continuation of his statement, Şimşek noted that this situation, which strengthens the monetary transmission mechanism, will also make a significant contribution to the disinflation process.

''Thanks to the program we are implementing with determination, risks are decreasing and normalization in financial markets continues.
The CBRT's swap stock with domestic banks has fallen from its 2023 peak of 64.5 billion dollars to 144 million dollars.
This situation, which strengthens the monetary transmission mechanism, will also make a significant contribution to the disinflation process.''
