Minister Işıkhan announced: Will there be a mid-year raise for pensions and minimum wage in July?
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made statements regarding a mid-year raise for the minimum wage and pension increases.
Minister Işıkhan made statements regarding claims that there would be a mid-year raise for the minimum wage and pensioners.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that a mid-year raise for the minimum wage and pensioners is not on the agenda.
In response to a question, Minister Işıkhan said, "There is no mid-year raise in July; the process will proceed as decided at the beginning. The lowest pension is 10 thousand liras. In July, the differences arising from inflation or contracts will already be reflected in pension payments. Other than that, we are not considering a mid-year raise for the minimum wage."
Touching upon the regulations to be implemented within the scope of the Year of Pensioners, Işıkhan said, "We are carrying out our protocols with many ministries and private sector organizations. We have gradually reached a certain point. We will hold a launch in the near future. I think it would not be ethical to share anything until there is something concrete. We will work to increase the well-being of our pensioners in psychological, social, and economic terms by granting them privileges and supporting them."
Işıkhan added that there would be no adjustment to pension salaries.
