The public austerity package introduced by the economic administration has brought criticism along with it.

In particular, the decision to eliminate shuttle services for public personnel drew significant backlash.

The Republican People's Party (CHP) also reacted to the announced austerity package. CHP Party Spokesperson and Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel stated, "The main goal is to make the leading party CHP municipalities unable to function."

Meanwhile, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek will hold bilateral meetings as part of his Brussels contacts.

Şimşek will attend and deliver a speech at an event titled "Turkey: Advancing in the European Ecosystem" at the think tank Bruegel.

Şimşek will meet with Paolo Gentiloni, European Commissioner for Economy; Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for Internal Market; and Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services, Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union.
