The new regulation prepared by the Ministry of Trade has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force. With the regulation, it has become mandatory to clearly inform consumers in the sale of precious stones produced in a laboratory environment.

NEW LABELING REQUIREMENT FOR PRODUCTS

Within the scope of the regulation amendment for the jewelry sector, precious stones produced in a laboratory environment or created through human intervention cannot be offered for sale without using specific terms.

Accordingly, at least one of the terms "synthetic," "laboratory-grown," "artificial production," or similar expressions deemed appropriate by the Ministry of Trade must be included on the products in question.

WILL BE VISIBLE IN EVERY AREA FROM LABELS TO ADVERTISING
