Stock market, euro, dollar, and gold... Which investment vehicle gained the most this week?
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 3.83 percent on a weekly basis, the dollar/TL rose by 0.50 percent, and the gram price of gold increased by 1.12 percent, while the euro/TL fell by 0.20 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 8,399.35 and a high of 8,762.89 points, completed the week at 8,665.68 points, gaining 3.83 percent compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 1.12 percent this week to 1,989 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold rose by 1.15 percent to 13,372 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 3,236 liras last weekend, rose to 3,273 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.50 percent to rise to 30.4620 liras, while the euro fell by 0.20 percent to 32.9210 liras.
Investment funds gained 1.78 percent and individual pension funds gained 2.47 percent this week. When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Stock" funds with 4.96 percent.
