Türk-İş announces! Kitchen inflation at its highest level in the last five months

Türk-İş's research on the hunger and poverty line for February shows that kitchen inflation has seen a significant increase.

According to these data, the monthly food expenditure required for a family of four living in Ankara to have a healthy, balanced, and adequate diet (the hunger line) has risen to 16 thousand 257 liras. On the other hand, the total amount of other mandatory monthly expenditures, such as clothing, housing, transportation, education, and health (the poverty line), was determined to be 52 thousand 954 liras.

The report also notes that the monthly cost of living for a single employee has risen to 21 thousand 189 liras. According to Türk-İş data, "kitchen inflation" showed a significant increase in February 2024, calculated as an 8.03 percent monthly increase, a 72.49 percent 12-month increase, and a 77.20 percent annual average increase for a family of four living in Ankara. This was recorded as the highest level in the last five months.
