Which investment instruments gained and which lost this week?
Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul gained an average of 1.36 percent on a weekly basis, while the dollar/TL rose by 0.63 percent, the euro/TL by 1.11 percent, and the gram selling price of gold by 1.53 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 7,851.34 and a high of 8,062.11 points, completed the week at 7,959.95 points, gaining 1.36 percent compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar rose by 1.53 percent this week to 1,858 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold increased by 1.49 percent to 12,483 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 3,012 liras last weekend, rose to 3,057 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.63 percent to reach 28.8800 liras, and the euro rose by 1.11 percent to 31.5290 liras.
Investment funds gained 1.34 percent and individual pension funds gained 1.32 percent this week. When viewed by category, the best-performing investment funds were "Stock" funds with a gain of 2.40 percent.
