While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 2.37 percent on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold decreased by 0.86 percent, the euro/TL by 0.59 percent, and the dollar/TL by 0.27 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 10,838.43 and a high of 11,245.53 points, completed the week at 10,891.42 points, losing 2.37 percent in value compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar decreased by 0.86 percent this week to 2,530 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold fell by 0.72 percent to 16,600 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,190 liras last weekend, fell to 4,150 liras.
This week, the US dollar lost 0.27 percent in value to 32.9680 liras, and the euro fell by 0.59 percent to 35.8090 liras.
Investment funds lost 0.67 percent and pension funds lost 0.99 percent in value this week.
When viewed by category, the top-performing investment funds were "Money Market" funds with a gain of 0.95 percent.
