Will there be a natural gas price hike in December? Statement from BOTAŞ
The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) has announced that there have been no changes to the sales tariffs for residential and industrial subscribers, as well as for electricity generation, as of December.
While there was curiosity regarding whether there would be a natural gas price hike in December, the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) issued a statement.
According to the tariff table published on BOTAŞ's website, the tariffs for residential and industrial subscribers, as well as the tariff for electricity generation, will remain unchanged for December.
Accordingly, the sales price that BOTAŞ will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in December has been announced as 4 thousand 80 Turkish Lira per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
The tariff for industrial subscribers has been set at 8 thousand 549 Turkish Lira for tier 1 and 11 thousand 374 Turkish Lira for tier 2 per 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
In the tariff for electricity generation, the price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas was announced as 12 thousand Turkish Lira.
Natural gas price tariffs are calculated on a monthly basis.
In the announcement on the institution's website, the statement "Based on the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI) prices, our country still has the lowest natural gas prices for households among European countries, after Ukraine." was used.
