World rankings announced! How much gold does Turkey have?
Gold, which has been breaking records one after another recently, is also seen as a safe haven by citizens in Turkey. Countries looking to secure themselves against economic crises are also increasing their gold reserves. According to the data, Turkey is among the 11 countries with the largest gold reserves in the world.
According to data from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the World Gold Council, and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Turkey ranked 11th as of 2023 with 479 tons of gold reserves.
Many countries, which agree that gold is a stable and reliable store of value that increases confidence in a country's economic stability, especially during times of financial uncertainty, continue to increase their reserves.
Almost one-fifth of all gold mined on Earth to date is held by central banks.

USA: 8 thousand 133 tons
Germany: 3 thousand 353 tons
Italy: 2 thousand 452 tons
France: 2 thousand 437 tons
Russia: 2 thousand 333 tons
China: 2 thousand 192 tons
Switzerland: 1 thousand 40 tons
Japan: 847 tons
India: 801 tons
Netherlands: 612 tons
TURKEY: 479 TONS
