Time specified: Thunderstorm warning for Istanbul

According to a statement from the Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center of the 1st Regional Directorate of Meteorology, locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in the vicinity of Kırklareli and Tekirdağ, as well as in the western parts of Istanbul (Silivri and Çatalca), until the evening hours.

The rainfall is expected to be intermittently heavy until 8:00 PM this evening.

A warning was issued to be careful and take precautions against potential negative impacts such as flash floods, inundation, lightning strikes, transportation disruptions, and strong winds or hail during the rainfall.

Meanwhile, the Istanbul Governor's Office also stated that heavy rainfall is expected in the western parts of Istanbul in the evening, and warned citizens to be careful and take precautions against negative impacts such as flash floods and inundation.
