According to the latest forecasts by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the east of the Marmara region, the east of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, the northern parts of Kahramanmaraş, and the surroundings of Malatya, Erzincan, Tunceli, Erzurum, Muş, Bitlis, Van, and the eastern districts of Bingöl. The precipitation, which is expected to be rain, and sleet and snow in the higher parts of the Black Sea, the higher parts of Central Anatolia, and areas receiving precipitation in Eastern Anatolia, is expected to be heavy rain in the surroundings of Sakarya, the east of Trabzon, the surroundings of Rize, and the north and east of Artvin, and heavy and occasionally intense snowfall in higher areas above 700 meters. Icing and frost are expected in the interior and eastern parts during the morning and night hours, along with mist and occasional fog. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea region and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the interior parts, with no significant changes expected elsewhere.

THRACE BIDS FAREWELL TO SNOWFALL

The snowfall that has been effective in the region since the beginning of the week is ending in Thrace as of today. The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that partly cloudy weather will prevail in Edirne and Kırklareli.

While the highest temperature in Edirne will reach 5 degrees during the day, thermometers will drop to -6 degrees at night. In Kırklareli, temperatures will range between 6 and -4 degrees. Tekirdağ will experience milder weather compared to other provinces.

IS SNOW EXPECTED IN ISTANBUL?

Meteorology Expert Cengiz Çelik stated that no precipitation is expected in Istanbul until Friday. It was noted that air temperatures in the city will hover around 7-8 degrees and may drop to 1-2 degrees at night. Although the question "Will it snow in Istanbul?" has come to the agenda due to the effect of the cold weather, according to the Meteorology forecasts, no snowfall is expected in the Marmara Region.
