Back-to-back earthquakes in Simav, Kütahya! Warning from Naci Görür
Back-to-back earthquakes measuring 4.2 and 3.2 in magnitude occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya. Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür drew attention to the increasing seismic activity in the region and warned, "Steps must be taken for an earthquake-resilient Simav."
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in Simav, Kütahya. AFAD announced the data regarding the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 12.55 km.
The depth of the earthquake, which occurred at 15:51, was measured at 12.55 kilometers.
The Kandilli Observatory also recorded a 3.2-magnitude earthquake at 16:05.
The depth of the earthquake was announced as 5.5 kilometers.

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated, "There was another magnitude 4 earthquake in Yemişli-Simav. Earthquakes have become more frequent here these days. This does not look like an earthquake swarm. Administrators must be more careful. The solution must be an earthquake-resistant Simav. This is possible."
