Everything will be clear on that date! Here are the new fines and fees
With only a few days left until the new year, the new costs for fines and fees have emerged. Here are the new fine and fee amounts that will be determined by the Revaluation Rate (YDO) to be announced at the beginning of November...
With the Revaluation Rate (YDO) expected to be around 45 percent for 2024, the lowest traffic fine in 2025 will reach 1,000 TL
In this context, along with the Revaluation Rate (YDO), the current 690 lira fine for violations such as not wearing a seatbelt, failing to maintain a safe following distance, driving without traffic insurance, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, and failing to yield the right of way will increase to 1,000 lira in 2025.
The lowest penalty for a speed limit violation is applied as 1,506 TL for this year. Next year, along with the Revaluation Rate (YDO), this penalty will increase to 2,183 liras. The highest traffic fine, issued for driving under the influence of drugs, was set at 33,240 TL for 2024. In the new year, this penalty is expected to rise to 48,198 liras.
The fine for driving under the influence, which is currently 6,439 liras for a first offense, is projected to increase to 9,336 liras in the new year. For a second offense, the fine, currently at 8,075 liras, could rise to 11,708 liras in 2025. The penalty for unauthorized use of flashing lights or sirens could also increase from 6,439 liras to 9,336 liras.
The Revaluation Rate (YDO) is determined by taking into account the price increases experienced throughout a year.
The Revaluation Rate (YDO), used to increase financial obligations such as taxes, fees, and penalties, will be finalized after the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announces inflation data for October in November.
The Revaluation Rate (YDO) for 2024 is projected to be around 45 percent.
