The latest vote shares of political parties have been revealed in the "Turkey's Voter Panorama" poll conducted by ALF Research in April. The study also included data on voter transition rates between parties. Here are the details...
The CHP emerged as the leading party in ALF Research's April general election survey. In the study, where participants were asked, "If there were a general election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?", the CHP took the top spot with 32.1 percent of the vote. The AKP followed in second place with 30.7 percent. The gap between the two major parties was only 1.4 percent.
According to the survey, the MHP's vote share was 8.5 percent, while the DEM Party followed closely behind the MHP with a rate of 8.2 percent.
Vote Shares of Other Parties
The vote shares of other parties expected to participate in the election were listed as follows:
Zafer Party: 5.1%
New Welfare Party (YRP): 3.1%
İYİ Party: 2.7%
A Party: 2.5%
Great Unity Party (BBP): 2.1%
Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP): 1.4%
Innovation Party (YMP): 1.4%
Other parties: 2.2%
The most striking part of the research was the transitions voters are experiencing between parties.
While 90.92% of CHP voters remained loyal to their party:
3.58% stated they would switch to the DEM Party,
1.45% to the İYİ Party,
1.17% to the AKP.
While 84.97% of AKP voters preferred to stay with their party:
5.18% turned to the YRP,
2.52% to other parties,
2.19% to the MHP.
1.61% stated they had switched to the CHP.
81.33% of MHP voters stayed with their party. However:
6.84% reported switching to the Zafer Party,
4.73% to the AKP,
2.45% to the CHP.
While only 20.54% of İYİ Party voters stated they would continue to support their party:
25.18% said they would vote for the CHP,
20.56% for the Zafer Party,
6.04% for the TİP,
5.46% for the AKP.
