Substance found in pizza shocks everyone: It causes infertility...
Carcinogenic substances have been discovered in pizza boxes imported from Turkey to France. It has been noted that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is conducting studies on the matter.
France has announced that lead and phthalate residues were found in thousands of pizza boxes sent from Turkey.
The products were rejected at the border due to these substances, which pose serious health risks. According to the notification made through the European Union's RASFF system, these harmful substances come into direct contact with the pizzas, threatening public health.
CHAINS PRODUCING IN TURKEY ARE ALSO AT RISK
Companies that export pizza boxes abroad also supply millions of boxes to fast-food chains in Turkey every year. The possibility that boxes containing lead and phthalate residues are also being used in the domestic market has led to serious health concerns.
Phthalate is also known to cause infertility.
MINISTRY HAS TAKEN ACTION
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the harmful exported products were destroyed at the border. However, it is unclear how strictly the production of these companies in Turkey is being inspected. Experts point out that consumers in the domestic market may also be at risk.
