Experts warn! Not a cosmetic product, but a health risk
Experts have issued a warning that nasal tanning sprays containing Melanotan 2 increase the risk of skin cancer.
Nasal tanning sprays containing the banned chemical Melanotan 2 are widely sold on social media and pose serious health risks to users. Although these sprays provide a tan, they can trigger cellular changes that may lead to skin cancers such as melanoma, which can be fatal.
Marketed without control, these products can also cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and high blood pressure. Because they are classified as cosmetic products, they are exempt from legal oversight. Flavored varieties, in particular, have gained popularity among young people, becoming a dangerous trend.
Health organizations such as Melanoma Focus and the CTSI have stated that such products should not be used.
Experts are warning the public to stay away from these substances, considering their potential long-term effects on health.
