Final opportunity to renew medication reports extended during the pandemic expires tomorrow

Time is running out for medication reports whose validity was extended by administrative decisions during the coronavirus pandemic, first until June 30, 2025, and subsequently until March 30, 2026. Patients who have not yet completed their renewal procedures must take action by November 5, 2025, to avoid losing their rights.

The Ministry of Health has issued a warning by sending informational SMS messages to citizens whose report validity periods have expired.

The message stated, "Dear Citizen, the practice of extending the validity of medication reports that were administratively extended after 2020 ended on June 30, 2025. To ensure that expired reports remain valid, you must make an appointment and renew your report no later than November 5, 2025."

Citizens wishing to renew their reports can complete the process by scheduling an examination appointment at hospitals via the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS) or by calling the 182 call center.

Nurten Saydan, Pharmacist and President of the All Pharmacists Employers' Union, issued the following warning in a recent statement:

"As is known to the public, our pharmacies can no longer view patient reports without a valid prescription. Patients usually receive information regarding the validity of their medication reports when they apply to our pharmacies once their medication runs out. This can cause our patients whose medication reports have expired to be left without medication and lead to disruptions in their treatment. To avoid being left without medication and experiencing grievances, it is of great importance that patients and their relatives check their report information via the e-Nabız system and apply to hospitals as soon as possible."
