A new phase has been reached in the investigation into the armed attack on the bus carrying the Fenerbahçe Football A Team on April 4, 2015.
The Trabzon Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has prepared an indictment against 5 suspects in light of new evidence.
The prosecution has requested that the suspects be punished for the crimes of "attempted premeditated murder" against the 39 people on the bus and "property damage" regarding the owner of the bus.
It was reported that a total of 105 years of imprisonment was requested for the suspects.
The indictment states that it is assessed that some of the suspects followed the team bus's route and reported its arrival, while other suspects opened fire with a shotgun as the bus passed.
It was noted that HTS and base station records, criminal investigations, forensic reports, and other findings in the file were evaluated together in the investigation.
In the attack, the bus driver was injured in a way that posed a life-threatening risk, and the players and technical staff on the vehicle were affected by the attack. The bus, which narrowly avoided an accident due to the driver's injury, also sustained material damage.
