31.4 million TL competition violation fine for cosmetic companies
The Competition Board has imposed a total fine of 31.4 million TL on three cosmetic companies.
According to the statement published on the Competition Authority's website, the investigation conducted into the economic integrity formed by Biota Bitkisel İlaç ve Kozmetik Laboratuarları AŞ, known for the brands Bioxin, Bioder, Biobaby, and Nutraxin, along with Derma Cos İlaç Medikal ve Kozmetik Sanayii ve İç Ticaret AŞ and Derma-Cos Kozmetik Sanayi Ticaret İthalat ve İhracat Limited Şirketi, has been concluded.
As a result of the investigation initiated on the grounds that these companies violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by determining the resale prices of their resellers, it was decided to impose a total administrative fine of 31 million 395 thousand 634 Turkish Lira following a settlement request.
