Striking DNA analysis in the Gülistan Doku case: Five vehicles under scrutiny

Six years after the disappearance of Munzur University student Gülistan Doku, remarkable developments are taking place in the case. As part of the investigation, a total of five vehicles, including official cars used by former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, have been sent to the Ankara Criminal Department for forensic examination.

In a statement made by authorities, it was stated that potential DNA traces to be obtained from these vehicles will be compared with samples obtained from Doku's family. In this process, both two vehicles belonging to the Tunceli Provincial Special Administration and three official vehicles used by the former governor are being comprehensively examined.

SECRET WITNESS ALLEGATIONS AND BMW VEHICLE INVESTIGATION

Statements reflected in the case file draw attention to the period when Doku disappeared. According to secret witness testimonies, it is alleged that Doku's lifeless body may have been transported in one of these vehicles. Furthermore, the route of a BMW brand vehicle, which was used together by Mustafa Türkay Sonel and his friend Umut Altaş at the time, was tracked via security cameras.

The BMW in question was first sent to the Istanbul Police Department and then to the Ankara Criminal Department for examination. The fact that the vehicle was sold previously and the same license plate continued to be used on a new BMW drew attention. No concrete results have been reached so far from the examinations conducted on the vehicle.

INVESTIGATION EXPANDS WITH SUSPICION OF "MURDER"

The investigation conducted by the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has moved to a new stage with the possibility of "murder" regarding the disappearance of Gülistan Doku. While it is pointed out that the investigation regarding former Governor Tuncay Sonel continues in Erzurum, it is anticipated that the findings to be obtained from the DNA analyses could change the direction of the process.
