Famous artist Özgün was a guest on the program titled Bambaşka Sohbetlerhosted by Ceyda Düvenci. The famous musician made sincere remarks about his 8-year-old son, Ediz, who was born with Down syndrome.
Singer Özgün, who has a son named Ediz from his marriage to Nida Karaçar, "How does it make you feel that your son has Down syndrome and what you have experienced?" responded to the question.
"I WAS VERY ASHAMED OF MYSELF"
"Some things take time to brew; it takes time to see yourself from the outside" said Özgün, continuing his words as follows:
"I am a person with a conscience; I love my wife and my son very much. When I encountered such a situation, I inevitably asked, 'Why me?' Then I was very ashamed of myself. And then resignation came into play. I said, 'We will pull ourselves together, we will accept this situation, or we will fall apart.' We were very lucky in terms of our families on both sides; we pulled ourselves together and set off. Love has been our unifying emotion."
