New Year's preparations have begun: How much are nut prices?
As the New Year approaches, activity in the nut sector is increasing, with package prices ranging between 300 and 700 TL. Sales are expected to account for a significant portion of the sector's turnover.
With only a few days left until the New Year, the shopping rush has begun.
Nuts are one of the must-haves on the shopping lists of those planning to welcome the New Year at home. Nut package prices range between 300 and 700 TL.
Highlighting the activity in the sector, Çitlekçi Vice Chairman of the Board Abdullah Tunç stated that they expect sales during the New Year period to account for 20 percent of their annual turnover.
Tunç said, "We aim to reach 2.5 million customers this month through our 35 stores across Turkey and our e-commerce website. Additionally, our international sales via our website have also begun."
FRESH AND HOT NUTS ARE IN HIGH DEMAND
Tunç noted that they stocked their store warehouses with raw nuts in November and offer their products for sale by roasting them in machines inside the stores.
Stating that the most popular products are mixed nuts and pumpkin seeds, Tunç said, "In addition to nuts, there is also great interest in products such as Turkish delight, chocolate, and dragees."
Expressing that they offer a wide range of products in New Year packages, Tunç added, "We have packages prepared in different categories such as luxury, super luxury, and extra special. We also provide packaging according to the products and weights our customers request."
