The inheritance dispute between businessman İnan Kıraç and his adopted daughter İpek Kıraç, which was first brought to the agenda by 12punto on February 13, 2024, is growing.

A criminal complaint was filed in Paris on April 24, 2023, against Koç Holding Board Member İpek Kıraç. Father İnan Kıraç and his lawyers have leveled accusations against İpek Kıraç, including forgery of documents, seizing property through fake documents, and violation of domicile.

It has been learned that İpek Kıraç was summoned by a French investigating magistrate to provide a statement and that an arrest warrant would be issued if she did not respond to this summons. It was stated that the arrest warrant would be forwarded to Interpol by French authorities.

Speaking to Elif Ergu Demiral from Gazete Oksijen, İpek Kıraç, who inherited approximately 12 percent of Koç Holding shares through her mother's will, said she had imagined spending a very different period with her father, İnan Kıraç, who has gone to court to have the will annulled.

How did the disinheritance lawsuit filed by your father, with whom you had a very strong emotional bond for years, affect you?

I had a childhood where I was very close to my father. My mother worked very hard and had a sterner temperament than my father. All my memories of my father are very warm and beautiful. If someone had told me that we would end up in such a situation one day, I would never have believed it. It is difficult for me to answer how this situation has affected me. Believe me, it is impossible for me to understand or accept my father's attitude, neither emotionally nor logically.

Why did your father take such an unexpected stance?

I don't know. You have to ask him. I still want to remember and experience the old father I knew. All I know is that all his family and friends who truly love my father, starting with me, are very saddened by the matter.

What would you like to say to your father?

I had imagined spending these years with my father, the period after my mother's loss, very differently. I wish my father and I were spending our energy, time, and resources on keeping my mother's name and dreams alive. I wish we could have visited the projects I am currently running in my mother's name together, and that he could have met those young girls.

I wish we could have gone out to dinners and vacations together, and continued to live like a normal family. There are so many things I miss and say "I wish" about. But I would have very much liked to be with my father at his age, and to be a supporter and companion in every aspect of the work and dreams he wants to leave behind.

I am sure my mother would have wanted to see us that way too. It is truly a great shame... Despite everything, I still hold onto the hope that we will return to the old days. Whether he wants it or not, he is my father.
