Premiere of 'Kurtuluş Lisesi' held: Turkey's first Japanese manga adaptation

The premiere of the series 'Kurtuluş Lisesi', produced by the famous actor Tolgahan Sayışman, was held in Etiler the other evening.

The event was attended by the series' producer Tolgahan Sayışman and lead actors Miray Akay, Aslıhan Kapanşahin, Aslıhan Karalar, Cansu Sabancı, Sedef Çalışır, Erdem Şanlı, Burcu Binici and Mert Altınışık. The highly anticipated "Kurtuluş Lisesi" will meet the audience on GAİN on January 19.

'I AM VERY EXCITED'

Speaking at the premiere, the series' producer Tolgahan Sayışman said, "I am excited because this is my first labor of love. I finished high school in 1997, I might have looked a bit too old, so I didn't act in it."

Continuing his remarks, Sayışman stated, "The series is the first Japanese manga adaptation in Turkey. There are also anime versions of the cast members."

Turkey's first Japanese manga adaptation, 'Kurtuluş Lisesi', follows the survival struggle of five high school girls who are stranded in a mountain village after a bus accident.

The project, brought to life by Tolgahan Sayışman's production company Han Medya Yapım, is directed by Müge Uğurlar, with the screenplay written by Makbule Kosif and Gülsev Karagöz. The series stars young actors Miray Akay, Aslıhan Kapanşahin, Aslıhan Karalar, Cansu Sabancı, Sedef Çalışır, Erdem Şanlı and Çağla Boz.
